Welcome to Dingwall and District U3A
The u3a (formerly the 'university of the 3rd age') was set up 40 years ago for those who, whilst no longer in full time employment, still enjoy learning for its own sake, and for fun, and sharing their own skills and knowledge with others.
Here in Dingwall & District u3a, we have groups ranging from Art to Golf. You can suggest your own ideas for groups and as long as there is someone else interested, you can start it up with our support. Decide what interest groups you'd like to join and give them a try - once you've joined u3a you can be in as many groups as you like! No qualifications are needed to join and no awards are given - you don't have to prove you have learnt or done something.

The Third Age Trust (TAT) supports over 1000 local u3as across the UK who, between them, have more than 430,000 members.
TAT offers Online Learning Events, free to all u3a members, including podcasts, workshops, and courses.
All members may take part, free of charge, in various projects, initiatives, and competitions. TAT also runs Friends Extra which provides access to a wide range of offers, and discounts
Finally, TAT also runs 'Interest Groups Online' (IGO), a digital branch of the u3a.
We are a fairly new u3a serving Dingwall and the surrounding area, including Maryburgh, Marybank, Conon Bridge, Muir of Ord, Evanton, Alness, Invergordon, Strathpeffer, and Contin. We held our inaugural meeting on 17 January 2019, and we now have over 100 members.
Groups meet in various places around the area, the library, church halls, hotels, and coffee places, as well as members' homes
